Privacy policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains what information LayerMath (“we”, “us”), operated by [TO FILL: operator entity], collects when you visit layermathlab.pages.dev and how it is used. Contact: [TO FILL: contact email].
Information we collect
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request, for security and reliability. Logs are retained for a limited period set by the host.
- Calculator inputs and STL files. Calculators and the STL gauge generator run entirely in your browser. The values you enter and the STL files you generate are not sent to our servers; the fit calculator encodes parameters in the page address only so you can bookmark or share a configuration.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply.
Cookies
LayerMath does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics or advertising, this section will be updated before they go live, and where required by law we will ask for your consent first.
Advertising (if enabled in the future)
If we display ads through Google AdSense or similar services, the following will apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be shown a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookies are set.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email [TO FILL: contact email].
Children
LayerMath is a general-audience technical site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Links to other sites
Guides link to external documentation and references. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top.
