3D printing calculators
Each calculator runs entirely in your browser and shows the formula behind every number, with a worked example and the physical assumptions that can make a real print differ. We would rather you understand the geometry and check it with calipers than trust a black box.
Fit, Clearance & Shrinkage Calculator (+ STL Gauge)
Compute CAD dimensions for press, sliding, loose and print-in-place joints after polymer shrinkage and nozzle geometry, and download a printable STL test gauge.
Open calculatorExtrusion Flow, Volumetric Speed & E-Steps Calculator
Calculate capsule road cross-section, volumetric flow rate (mm³/s), speed limits, slicer flow ratio and Klipper/Marlin extruder steps.
Open calculatorHow we build calculators
Every tool starts from documented slicer math (such as the Slic3r stadium cross-section model), firmware kinematics or published polymer shrinkage data, which are cited on the tool page. Where a tool uses an empirical workshop rule of thumb, such as baseline radial clearances by fit class, the page says so and gives you a quick test print to verify it on your own machine. If you find a calculation error, please contact us; corrections are logged under our editorial policy.
